How can you minimize interaction issues and maximize usability? Conduct a usability test!
NOTE: This is part three of a three-part consecutive workshop series. To fully benefit from the process, teams are encouraged to participate in all three workshops. Each session builds upon the previous one, guiding you from understanding user needs, through prototyping, to usability testing. This workshop is intended for founder teams that already have a product idea they are actively working on.
We encourage startups to apply the iterative Human-Centered Design Process and learn how to conduct usability tests to incorporate feedback loops. This helps them optimize navigation, check if the system is in line with the European AI Act, and determine what improvements could be made to respect the European accessibility standards.
This approach enables teams to quickly develop and refine products based on real user input, significantly increasing their chances of success in the market. Therefore, in this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to create and run a remote usability test using the click dummy created in the previous course, and how to formulate the right questions to optimize your products in a human- and value-centered manner.
1. Â Â Define the research objective and test questions
2. Â Â Create test-tasks
3. Â Â Prepare the participant
4. Â Â Conduct a remote test using zoom
5. Â Â Report and analyze the data
It is also possible to participate in this workshop with your own products, even without attending the first two workshops.
