Value Centric UX for Startups: Human & Value Centered Design Workshop (1/3)
29.10.2025: Human and Value Centered Design Workshop (1/3), 10 am – 2 pm
13.11.2025: Click Dummy Prototyping Workshop (with Figma) (2/3), 10 am – 2 pm
What do your users and customers need and care about, when interacting with your product?
NOTE: This is part one of a three-part consecutive workshop series. To fully benefit from the process, teams are encouraged to participate in all three workshops. Each session builds upon the previous one, guiding you from understanding user needs, through prototyping, to usability testing. This workshop is intended for founder teams that already have an idea they are working on.
Today’s tech products are expected to offer more than just usability and a smooth user experience—they should also reflect the values of the people who use them. For startups, this means taking responsibility for the impact their digital products have on individuals, society, and the environment. By considering user needs and values early in the design process, teams can spot potential issues before they arise and create more thoughtful, meaningful solutions.
Customers are increasingly looking for products that align with their beliefs, making ethical design not just a nice-to-have, but a key success factor—especially for startups. Yet many early-stage teams struggle with how to bring ethics into product development in a practical way.
That’s why we’ve created a hands-on approach that blends principles from Human-Centered Design (HCD), Value-Sensitive Design (VSD), and Design Thinking. This method gives startups a clear, accessible way to integrate ethical reflection into their design and development processes.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to apply this approach through four simple steps:
1. Interview – Understand user needs and values
2. Problem Statement – Define the core user requirement
3. Ethical Consideration – Identify potential negative consequences
4. Ideation – Sketch a design idea that reflects your insights
→ Subsequent individual consultations can be booked free of charge upon request.
We offer free consultation sessions to provide an opportunity to reflect on the process and address specific questions related to your individual designs and usability test results.
