This workshop will introduce you to an “Ethical Reflection Exercise” and guide you through its application in the context of Internet privacy. This method allows design and development teams to critically evaluate consequences of design decisions. Through collaborative efforts, participants will gain familiarity with this engaging approach to value-oriented design, allowing for its seamless integration into their organization’s development workflow.
This Method serves as a valuable tool to evaluate UX sketches during early development stages, empowering teams to broaden their perspectives during software planning and incorporate ethical principles from the project’s inception.
By incorporating values into their software development process, teams can enhance human-technology interaction and boost user acceptance.
The workshop consists of the following four exercises:
1) Structured Interview to defining User Needs
2) Requirement Statement to define the main problem
3) Sketching a new Interaction Design Solution
4) Ethical Reflection Exercise using Ethical Consideration Cards
